Our customer was at his cottage on Lake Muskoka, North of Parry Sound when an alternator low voltage light appeared on his instrument panel. Not wanting to fly due to the uncertainty of his electrical condition, he reached out to Brant Aero for assistance. Using Brant Aero’s rapid response aircraft, technician Mitch Callaghan was quickly dispatched to diagnose and solve the electrical issue.

After a quick diagnosis, it was found that the main alternator wire was bad; a quick 40 minute repair later, the aircraft came back on line able to fly its intended mission.

If only we could control mother nature… poor Mitch and the customer were stranded in paradise while waiting for the weather to clear so that they can make it back home!

How many companies would answer a message on a long weekend, let alone drop everything to fly and rescue another pilot from an unforeseen problem. Mitch and Blaine Field at Brant Aero not only answered my cry for help on a summer Sunday, but they answered the bell. Mitch immediately made arrangements for a flight to Parry Sound airport and I gladly picked him up. Mitch had the problem diagnosed and fixed in no time. A couple of beers for the passenger while we waited for the weather to clear over Collingwood then off we went. I got my headset back this morning, looks great.  Won’t have a chance to use it for a few more days, but can’t tell you how much I appreciate the quick turnaround and great service.

I know you have a lot of ’stuff’ on your plate and I am sure you juggle many aircraft, but I have ALWAYS felt my issues are a priority when I interact with either of you. You are both extremely responsive and I appreciate it. This is a major reason why I keep coming back to Brant Aero.
