Hollywood Does It Again!

Great aircraft goof in the new movie, The Irishman. It is 1975. Robert De Niro boards and is seated in a Cessna 421C made in 1979 (tail N212RV) with a partial glass cockpit retrofit circa 2000’s. No wonder he looks so glum! He is in an aircraft that hasn’t been built yet! Pilot sits down and pretends to move his hands in front of the instruments as the engines both miraculously start without the pilot at any time touching the throttles and with no instruments ever coming to life. I guess it was an early venture into autonomous flying. Someone wasn’t paying attention to detail. But the movie was worth watching.
