Importing Our New Plane to Canada

Importing Our New Plane to Canada

How we got C-FHKA to her new home

In late December we completed our winter cross-country flight from Brantford to Courtenay, Vancouver Island, BC.

C-FHKA is now in her new home – our hangar at the Courtenay Airpark (CAH3).

This exciting development all began with a call to Brant Aero in early July.  That conversation, their website and the testimonials posted on it convinced us that Brant Aero was the company we could trust to import our aircraft into Canada.  Blaine and their team proved us right, time and again.

Our purchase of N2445G in Superior, Wisconsin in the middle of a pandemic posed a real challenge to us but not to Brant Aero.  Throughout the inspection, ferry flight to Brantford, remedial work and re-certification the team at Brant Aero performed magnificently.  Their willingness and ability to negotiate a reduction in the purchase price was most welcome.  We found the high level of operational, technical and regulatory expertise within the organization most reassuring.

We would like to convey our thanks to the whole team.  We would particularly like to their CSR team for always keeping us in the loop with emails and photos and Pat for his ferry flight work and his patient guidance in the hangar and during the famil flight.

We were not surprised that your ‘after sales service’ was just as good.  The hot start advice from Josh and Blaine was invaluable.  Their ability to locate an AME in Penticton, BC at a moment’s notice was truly impressive.

With our very best wishes,

Martin and Inge.
