Brant Aero Mourns the Death of One of Their Founders, Sinclair (Bud) Field
November 6, 1947 to June 18, 2020
On Thursday June 18, 2020, Sinclair (Bud) Coleman Field passed away after a long battle with Cancer. Bud was one of the original founders of Brant Aero and its President from 1986 through 2016. Although retired for the past few years, Bud enjoyed teaching and training the new hires, test flying and pick up and delivery missions with his brother Pat. They were a team for 34 years after they lost their brother Terry and father James H. Field so long ago. Bud was still joining in on company activities and despite constant pain and discomfort from either the disease or the cure he was always smiling, positive and never complaining. After winning the battle against cancer of the esophagus and then brain cancer, Bud got his pilots medical back and was all set to begin flying missions again. Skiing in February in Switzerland was seemingly the zenith but was followed by new complications and a dire prognosis. Despite the love and constant care by Jane, his wife of 43 years, his brother Pat Field and sister Francie Westgarth, Bud was resigned that the decision was no longer his and left his fate to God.
If you would like to share your thoughts and stories with Jane and the children we encourage you to go to the Beckett- Glaves funeral home link here: Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral.

Jun, 25, 2020It is with sadness to hear of Bud’s passing; I met Budd twenty plus years ago and always held him in high regard. He was a pleasant, honest, and very accommodating man to deal with. My deepest sympathy to the family and the Brant Aero organization. He will be missed.
