Flying Canada’s East Coast in a 1977 Cessna F337G Skymaster

My name is Tom Comet and I fly a 1977 Cessna F337G Skymaster that is serviced exclusively by Brant Aero. I just returned home from a business/pleasure trip where I travelled throughout the east coast of Canada over a 17-day period.

We flew from Brantford to Goose Bay Labrador, Saint John’s NFLD, Hawkesbury NB, Saint John NB then back home. We had our plane full of equipment and personal gear so we were near maximum gross weight throughout the journey. We were operating during the hottest part of the summer too, so we were definitely working our machine. We put 17.5 hours on our aircraft and we flew over 3000NM.

Throughout our entire trip we did not suffer from one snag or even the smallest little hiccup. Brant Aero helped me plan for this trip and prepare both the aircraft and myself so that we would have a beautiful and “mechanically uneventful” journey. We didn’t need to worry about the plane and could instead focus on the splendour that is the east coast of Canada.

Thank you to the entire Brant Aero team for your thoroughness and attention to detail as I know this was the reason that we were able to make such a memorable and amazing journey in a 40+ year old aircraft. We’re already planning the next trip!
